Team Western Selects Developmental Tour is a program composed of selected players from Canada and the United States. Players are scouted in advance at the Pee Wee Major and Bantam Minor AAA or AA levels. Players are selected on the basis of a scouting criteria. The program currently comprises two teams, each made up of Pee Wee and Bantam players. Team Western Selects departs for the Czech Republic each year in April for 2 weeks following the current minor hockey season. The program occurs prior to most summer hockey programs.
This program is one of a kind in that it combines the highest level skill development with a supplemental competition opportunity in an educational environment. Team Western Select Players receive the following developmental program components:

The objective is to provide an intensive program of training and development. Although the focus is hockey, the program also allows for an opportunity to experience Czech culture and history.
